Here's the  2012 London Olympics Medal Tally as of July 30, 2012. People's Republic of China is still leading the 2012 London Summer Olympics medal count with 9 golds, 5 silver and 3 bronze followed by the United States of America with 5 golds, 7 silver and 5 bronze both with a total of 17 medal hauls. Philippines is still hoping for an elusive gold medal if not silver and bronze at least for our very least contingent so far of 11 athletes. Meanwhile, Southeast Asian neighbors Thailand andIndonesia on Monday won their first medals at the 2012 London Olympics in the weightlifting competition, where our very own Hidilyn Diaz failed to lift 118kg and settled at 8 spot.

Earlier, Hidilyn Diaz said sorry for failing to land a medal  ‘Sorry po,’ Hidilyn tells Filipino fans. according to the report from AKTV, Hidilyn may have bowed out of contention in the women’s 58-kg weightlifting competition, but our flag-bearer in the London Olympics Hidilyn Diaz won the hearts of Filipino fans, who tweeted her messages of support shortly after the end of her campaign, making “Go Hidilyn Diaz” a trending topic on Twitter.
