Philippines Bid for 2024 Manila Olympics Games

According to some news, Philippines will try to Bid for 2024 Olympics Games as shared by our page member Asxy Enna Eyaf PElu.

Here's the full text shared by Asxy. You can share an important news like this in our Facebook page Philippines Go for Gold.
Japan and the Philippines will try to bid for the 2024 Olympic Games. The Philippines has never hosted the Olympics before unlike Japan when Tokyo hosted the 1964 Summer Olympics. Manila was the site of the 2nd Asian Games in 1954[2], and had hosted the Southeast Asian Games in 1981, 1991 and 2005. It also hosted the FIBA World Championships in 1978, and the World Pool Championships in 2006 and 2007. To boost its bid, the Philippines plans to construct a bigger and better stadium in the Pasay Reclamation Area, and other temporary and permanent sports facilities. Meanwhile, Hiroshima was the host of the 1994 Asian Games, the first time the quadrennial meet was held outside a capital city, and co-hosted the 2006 FIBA World Championships.
Meanwhile Mr. Jaime Jose shared a positve outlook and hope for our future olympinas:
Jaime JoseI think we can start everything by making this page the official facebook page for the 2016 Rio Olympics. We can start by identifying all games in the olympics, including categories. Please Admin, can you post all olympic sports here, like for example, in boxing, what are the weight classes, then male and female. then from the list, we will vote, what category we can stand a chance to bring home at least a bronze. then find athletes who can fight in that sport and category. because why are you sending a swimmer who's personal best is way far behind the olympic best?

Earlier, Hidilyn Diaz said sorry for failing to land a medal  ‘Sorry po,’ Hidilyn tells Filipino fans. according to the report from AKTV, Hidilyn may have bowed out of contention in the women’s 58-kg weightlifting competition, but our flag-bearer in the London Olympics Hidilyn Diaz won the hearts of Filipino fans, who tweeted her messages of support shortly after the end of her campaign, making “Go Hidilyn Diaz” a trending topic on Twitter.
