Senator Sotto denied copying Anti-RH Bill Speech from a Blogger-Video

Here's a video speech of Senator Tito Sotto against RH Bill.

Senate Majority Leader Tito Sotto on Monday delivered a speech on his stand on the Reproductive Health bill. He claimed the bill will have negative effects on women's health, and that condoms pose serious health risks.

He also said he lost a son due to the effects of contraceptives.

Meanwhile, Senator Tito Sotto denied that his Anti-RH Bill Speech is copied from a Blogger. "Why should I quote a blogger? Blogger lang siya."

Read part of Senator Sotto's speech below:
According, to Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride MD, the use of the pill also causes severe gut dysbiosis. What is worse, drug induced gut imbalance is especially intractable and resistant to treatment either with probiotics or dietchange. 1 Gut imbalance brought on through use of the pill negatively impacts the ability to digest food and absorb nutrients. As a result, even if a woman eats spectacularly well during pregnancy, if she has been taking oral contraceptives for a period of time beforehand, it is highly likely that she and her baby are not reaping the full benefits of all this healthy food as the lack of beneficial flora in her gut preclude this from occurring. 2 Pathogenic, opportunistic flora that take hold in the gut when the pill is used constantly produce toxic substances which are the by-products of their metabolism. These toxins leak into the woman’s bloodstream and they have the potential to cross the placenta. Therefore, gut dysbiosis exposes the fetus to toxins. 3 Not well known is also the fact that use of the pill depletes zinc in the body. Zinc is called “the intelligence mineral” as it is intimately involved in mental development.
And compare it with Sarah's blog below:

Philippines Bid for 2024 Manila Olympics Games

According to some news, Philippines will try to Bid for 2024 Olympics Games as shared by our page member Asxy Enna Eyaf PElu.

Here's the full text shared by Asxy. You can share an important news like this in our Facebook page Philippines Go for Gold.
Japan and the Philippines will try to bid for the 2024 Olympic Games. The Philippines has never hosted the Olympics before unlike Japan when Tokyo hosted the 1964 Summer Olympics. Manila was the site of the 2nd Asian Games in 1954[2], and had hosted the Southeast Asian Games in 1981, 1991 and 2005. It also hosted the FIBA World Championships in 1978, and the World Pool Championships in 2006 and 2007. To boost its bid, the Philippines plans to construct a bigger and better stadium in the Pasay Reclamation Area, and other temporary and permanent sports facilities. Meanwhile, Hiroshima was the host of the 1994 Asian Games, the first time the quadrennial meet was held outside a capital city, and co-hosted the 2006 FIBA World Championships.
Meanwhile Mr. Jaime Jose shared a positve outlook and hope for our future olympinas:
Jaime JoseI think we can start everything by making this page the official facebook page for the 2016 Rio Olympics. We can start by identifying all games in the olympics, including categories. Please Admin, can you post all olympic sports here, like for example, in boxing, what are the weight classes, then male and female. then from the list, we will vote, what category we can stand a chance to bring home at least a bronze. then find athletes who can fight in that sport and category. because why are you sending a swimmer who's personal best is way far behind the olympic best?

Beyonce Knowles 'I Was Here' Music Video and Lyrics

Catch Beyonce Knowles 'I Was Here' Music Video and Lyrics! Beyonce was reportedly recorded a video clip in the hall of the UN General Assembly that will be used to celebrate World Humanitarian Day on August 19 according to AFP report.

I Was Here Lyrics

I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time
Know there was something that, and something that I left behind
When I leave this world, I'll leave no regrets
Leave something to remember, so they won't forget

I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here

I want to say I lived each day, until I die
And know that I meant something in, somebody's life
The hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave
That I made a difference, and this world will see

I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/i-was-here-lyrics-beyonce-knowles.html ]
I will leave my mark so everyone will know

I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here

I just want them to know
That I gave my all, did my best
Brought someone to hapiness
Left this world a little better just because

I was here

I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here x2

The Filipino Olympic medal drought is a complex issue

The Filipino Olympic medal drought is a complex issue by Raphael Lloren. Again we would like to share an intelligent review of Filipino Athletes medal drought from our community member, Raphael. This is in response or  a support for the review made by our fellow member, Alain Austria (Read his review, click HERE)!
The Filipino Olympic medal drought is a complex issue which encompasses a lot of things.
First is sport participation. In my opinion, the sports that the Philippines can excel at (provided there is a world-class development program in place) in the mainstream Olympics are gymnastics, diving, weightlifting and synchronized swimming because in these sports Filipinos would not be at a disadvantage due to their size also these sports garner viewership, which means more funds from big businesses.

Second is funding. This one is really a chicken and the egg question. Is sports in the Philippines underfunded due to lack of international performance or is the lack of performance due to lack of funds. After living both in Canada and the Philippines and having participated in sports in both countries, I have come to realize that sport participation is for those that have the financial means to do so.

Here in Canada, you pay for your club fees (registration & admin, training facilities, competition fees), also you have to take care of your own transportation (gas and/or airfare) and lodging for out-of-town competitions. In Canada, youth national and provincial championships are available for all provided you can afford to attend. Even when our teams leave the country to represent Canada, our athletes have to pay out-of-pocket for many of their expenses.

In the Philippines, the provincial government pays for tournament and travel expenses (for Palarong Pambansa and Batang Pinoy). This system reduces athlete participation as the level of competition increases. So it does not develop more participants. Fewer participants mean an even shallower talent pool.

The private sector really wouldn't support Philippine Olympic Teams because there's no return on their part. After team USA wins a medal or when team USA is playing, commercials like Proctor & Gamble, McDonalds and Bank of America come up. Companies will support sports provided that they're winning and that people watch them.

Bearing this in mind, how many of our athletes actually get past their first round games and how much viewership do these athletes provide?

The government has no vested interest in sport. Funding sport programs does not give them votes in the end. The masses don't remember the party that supported an athlete get to an Olympic podium, instead they remember the athlete that won.

Third is long term planning and development. Whether we like it or not, the Philippines is not a country that is proactive. Rains come at a certain time of year, and still we're surprised that it floods? Or we know it rains at a certain time of year, what have we done to prevent a land slide from demolishing a city?
Countries that are in the top 10 medalling have put into place programs that lead their participants from introduction to the sport to the podium, furthermore these programs take on average 30 years to complete - 14 to go from intro to sport to Olympic calibre, then 16 years to actually medal at least once.
I could go on and on about what the Philippines need to change in terms of youth sports development, but suffice to say, what's going on within the country in terms of athlete development is clearly not world-class.

These issues are just the tip of the iceberg. The more important thing is, are we taking the right steps to address them?

Philippines did not get even a Single Medal in 2012 London Olympics- Why?

A concerned member of our page is asking why the Philippines did not get even a Single Medal even at least a Bronze medal for that matter and one of our page member responded well whom we think has a best regards to our Pinoy athletes as well as a very  good and positive outlook on our future endeavor in a big event like the Olympics. I just want to re-post it for the benefit of our reader.

A REPLY TO THE COMMENT: "they dont get anything, even a single bronze? why" - Evangeline Pajo....
well Ma'am it's not that easy to even qualify for the olympics, In fact this is rather disappointing finish for all Southeast Asian countries that might just end up gold-less or medal-less in this edition...
We as a region [not just the philippines] really have to work hard in overhauling the sports system to make it sure that we will perform better in the next olympics....OUR ATHLETES AND ALL SOUTHEAST ASIAN ATHLETES DID THEIR BEST..there is no shame in that.

At times we should put our in their shoes and think: how do we feel if people in my country are pressuring me to get a medal even if I indeed tried my best. To qualify in the olympics is already a tall order...Some of the athletes in London are acquaintances of mine and they really feel bad with the negative comments they are receiving..
no offense meant ma'am, i do respect your opinion...but things are more complicated than just going there and winning medals....its a very very very long journey through physical pain, politics [yes even sports], etc. Let us just be grateful that our very small team represented us despite all odds.

IT PAYS TO give our athletes a pat in the shoulder and say thank you. I tell you how appreciative they are of encouraging words...Salamat po.
ASEAN GOLD-MEDAL-LESS BLUES IN THE LONDON OLYMPICS. The way things are going, all countries in the ASEAN region will again go back to the drawing table and figure out what "went wrong" with Southeast Asia's performance in the 2012 Olympiad. Things were already promising since 1992 when Indonesia got their first gold, followed by Thailand etc.

I agree with the decision of the SEA GAMES organizers to focus more on official Olympic Sports in Myanmar 2013 so that the medal tally [for all my reservations towards this practice] can be a more accurate measure of the country's chances in continental and international competitions.

NOTE: that host countries can no longer add "weird local sports" just to boost their medal tallies / nor discard sports when the hosts feel that they cannot win medals in that area....

So let's see the previous SEA GAmes tally vis-a-vis the ASEAN PERFORMANCE IN LONDON 2012.

2012 LONDON OLYMPICS
INA: 0-1-1
MAS: 0-1-1
THAI: 0-1-1
SIN: 0-0-2
VIE, PHI, MYA, CAM, TLS, BRU, LAO 0-0-0

Though I do not agree with the current attitude of focusing too much on getting a medal/s...nor am i in a position to judge the athletes [i mean they did their best what more can we ask for]...but it's also a reflection of the long-road ahead for ASEAN to catch up with other regions. I guess this is more painful for countries such as INA, THA which are already used to gold medal finishes [no matter if its just one or two]...more painful for MAS who failed to get gold twice....as for the others it will still be an elusive quest...But I do hope of a faster, higher, stronger ASEAN by 2016....Wish all ASEAN countries the best @ RIO de JANEIRO.

Inspired by Steve Nash’s annual Showdown in Chinatown, the match will also feature all-star players like members of the Philippine Azkals, talents from the United Football League (UFL), and some of the nation’s top collegiate players. For added star power, noted celebrities who also play football will also participate in the match.
If I remember it well, there were talks after the friendly with CF Inter de Madrid that the organizers might consider bringing the Real Madrid reserve team (I'm not sure if it's the B-team a.k.a. RM Castilla or the C-team) to the Philippines for a friendly. If this "Clear Dream Cup" is in anyway related to this, I'm considering my thought that CR7 and some of the non-Europeans of RM might come over here with them. Kaká and Higuain, anyone?

Video- Flood Havoc in Philippines on August 7, 2012

Here we have compiled a video of Flood havoc in Philippines on August 7.

Weeks of non-stop torrential rains have killed 51 people across the Philippines and forced thousands of residents to flee their homes on Tuesday (August 7). The heavy floods covered half of the Philippine capital Manila and pounded the nearby provinces. Water levels reached over some residents' head in several districts, where rescue workers brought those marooned by rubber boats to higher ground. The flooding crippled traffic, shut down the stock market, and prompted schools and government offices to close. Welfare department said over 20,000 affected people across Manila and nearby provinces are staying in evacuation shelters, which are converted by schools and sports gyms. The floods raised fears of a disaster on the scale of Typhoon Ketsana in 2009, when 80 percent of Manila was flooded, and more than 700 people were killed.
