Classes are still suspended in Metro Manila and NCR tomorrow, August 8, 2012 due to unprecedented heavy rain. According to the report, the amount of rainfall brought by the southwest monsoon over Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon has surpassed the rainfall dumped by tropical storm “Ondoy” in 2009, an official from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)’s disaster prevention and mitigation system office said Tuesday.
The Philippine Atmoshpheric Geophysicla and Astronomical Services had again placed Metro Manila under a red warning rainfall alert Tuesday evening. See PAGASA color coding signal, HERE!

- Pampanga

- Tarlac
- Laguna
- Cavite
- Rizal
- Bulacan
According to the report from Yahoo.ph, among the cities that have declared to suspend classes in all levels (preschool to college) are Manila, Makati, Caloocan, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Pasig, San Juan, and Valenzuela. Classes in Pateros, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Mandaluyong, Navotas, Taguig, and Valenzuela have likewise been called off. As of 7:30 pm, Quezon City has yet to announce whether to hold classes on Wednesday.
Some Universities also give an early advised for suspension of classes such as Ateneo de Manila University, De LaSalle University, The University of the Philippines Los Banos, Manila, and Diliman, Adamson University, PUP and Far-Eastern University among others.
